Food Hero Scot
Grass-roots movement, Food Hero Scot is a community led campaign focused on sharing the stories of those in the Food & Drink sector that are leading with heart and kindness, using ingenuity to find innovative solutions to the pandemic, and prioritising people and planet over profit to contribute to a more fair and regenerative food system in Scotland.
Focused on storytelling, so far we have captured five powerful mini documentaries on businesses or social enterprises shared on the #FoodHeroScot website and spotlighted through a media campaign delivered by STV.

SteamPunk Coffee Roasters
Based in the beautiful Scottish seaside town of North Berwick, Steampunk are known for their roasting of fully traceable and ethically sourced single origin coffees.
Beloved locally and renowned widely for their community impact, it was a joy and a privilege to follow Catherine and the Steampunk team around their roastery and shop, learning more about the company's history and the values that underpin all of their behaviours as a eco-conscious business.

Edinburgh Food Social
Edinburgh Food Social educates young people and communities about local, seasonal food. Their aim is to promote the use of locally grown, seasonal produce to increase the awareness of good food and its impact on health and wellbeing.
Edinburgh Food Social’s work is focused on improving the life chances of people facing the challenges of poverty.
